Welcome- I’m Kiki. I am glad you are here.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping people build confidence in who they are, heal from past experiences, and live more authentically.
I believe that we don’t sabotage happiness because we don’t want it — we sabotage it because chaos or depression feels familiar. Therapy helps make peace, joy, and stability feel safe and possible.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over eight years working in addiction residential treatment centers in various roles including technician, counselor, art instructor, and therapist. That experience gave me a strong foundation in working with trauma, addiction, mental health challenges, and family dynamics. It continues to shape the way I work with clients today.
I now work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and collaborative. I believe therapy should move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
While therapy often involves healing from trauma and difficult experiences, I also believe it’s about learning how to sit with peace, experience joy, and create a life that feels meaningful — not just surviving, but truly living.
I integrate mindfulness, attachment work, inner child work, and creative approaches when helpful. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you understand yourself, build resilience, and create lasting change.
Who I Work With
I work with adults (18+) of all backgrounds, especially those navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and faith-transitions and addiction recovery. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for healing and growth.
Faith Transitions
Going through a faith transition can be tough, especially when it affects your relationships and community ties. I've been there myself, dealing with the challenges of a faith crisis and being in a mixed-faith marriage. I get how confusing and isolating it can feel. I'm here to offer a friendly, non-judgmental space where we can chat about your beliefs, sort through any feelings of loss or uncertainty, and help you figure out how to be true to yourself during this change. Together, we'll work on easing the impact on your relationships and finding a path that feels right for you.
This is my family under the 100-year-old oak tree in the yard where I grew up in Southeast Louisiana. Every time I stand under it, I’m reminded of my roots, my family, and the place that shaped me.

Outside of therapy
Outside of being a therapist, I’m an artist who loves painting, dancing, cooking, spending time with my family, and watching more K-dramas than I probably should.
My husband and I have been married for 27 years, and our relationship has taught me a lot about love, respect, and individuality. I went through a faith transition and left the LDS church about 12 years ago, while he remains active and believing. Living in a mixed-faith marriage has given me a deep understanding of how complex relationships, identity, and belief systems can be.
I’m also a mom to three amazing kids who constantly teach me, challenge me, and help me grow.
At the end of the day, I’m just a person trying to figure out this wild, beautiful, sometimes messy life—while managing ADHD, which means life is rarely boring and often a little chaotic in the best way.
Substance Abuse
I have 8 years of experience working in various treatment centers as a tech, art teacher, and SUDC (substance use disorder counselor). I'm here to help you uncover what's driving it and to develop strategies for lasting change.
For those dealing with severe or life-threatening substance use issues, starting with inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment is often the best first step. After completing such programs, I'd be honored to support you in maintaining sobriety and addressing the root causes of substance use. Together, we can work towards healing and building a fulfilling, substance-free life.
If you feel that a higher level of care is needed, such as inpatient or outpatient treatment, please let me know, and I can provide you with appropriate referrals.
ADHD
Living with ADHD - and raising children who also have ADHD- gives me firsthand insight into the daily challenges and unique strengths that come with neurodivergence.
I understand the struggles with focus, organization, and emotional regulation because I've navigated them myself and with my kids. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, allows me to offer practical strategies and empathetic support tailored to your needs. Together, we can develop tools to manage ADHD symptoms effectively and leverage the unique strengths that come with neurodivergence.
