Hi, I’m Kiki!
I’m the therapist behind The Art of Mindful Healing. My passion is helping individuals build confidence in who they are, heal from past wounds, and live more authentically.

My Approach
I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy, integrating mindfulness, inner child work, and creative techniques like art therapy. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, challenge unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with yourself.

Who I Work With
I work with adults (18+) of all backgrounds, especially those navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and faith-transitions. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for healing and growth.

That's my family—plus one not-so-photogenic donkey .

Faith Transitions
Going through a faith transition can be tough, especially when it affects your relationships and community ties. I've been there myself, dealing with the challenges of a faith crisis and being in a mixed-faith marriage. I get how confusing and isolating it can feel. I'm here to offer a friendly, non-judgmental space where we can chat about your beliefs, sort through any feelings of loss or uncertainty, and help you figure out how to be true to yourself during this change. Together, we'll work on easing the impact on your relationships and finding a path that feels right for you.

Outside of therapy
I’m an artist who finds joy in painting, dancing, cooking, spending time with my family, and watching way too many K-dramas. I've been married for 26 years and have personally navigated a faith transition, so I understand the emotional complexity of a mixed-faith marriage. I’m also a mom to three incredible kids who continue to teach me about love and help me grow into a better human.

I’m just a human figuring out how to navigate this wild, beautiful, and sometimes messy life—with ADHD in the mix, which keeps things extra interesting (and hilarious).

Substance Abuse
I have 8 years of experience working in various treatment centers as a tech, art teacher, and SUDC (substance use disorder counselor).  I'm here to help you uncover what's driving it and to develop strategies for lasting change.

For those dealing with severe or life-threatening substance use issues, starting with inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment is often the best first step. After completing such programs, I'd be honored to support you in maintaining sobriety and addressing the root causes of substance use. Together, we can work towards healing and building a fulfilling, substance-free life.

If you feel that a higher level of care is needed, such as inpatient or outpatient treatment, please let me know, and I can provide you with appropriate referrals.

ADHD
Living with ADHD - and raising children who also have ADHD- gives me firsthand insight into the daily challenges and unique strengths that come with neurodivergence.

I understand the struggles with focus, organization, and emotional regulation because I've navigated them myself and with my kids. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, allows me to offer practical strategies and empathetic support tailored to your needs. Together, we can develop tools to manage ADHD symptoms effectively and leverage the unique strengths that come with neurodivergence.
